Jungli City Tourism Night Market has been developed for 17 years since 1990 when the ex-mayor, Mr. Chang Sheng-Shun led Jungli City Administration. He gathered up stallholders on major streets in Jungli City from Hsingkuo Road, Chungmei Road, the Laochiehsi Street, Chungshan Road, Chungping Road, Chungcheng Road to Tatong Road and relocated them on Hsinming Road and Chungyang W. Road in Jungli City, where was a place originally desolate at night. Because the establishment of Jungli City Tourism Night Market, it has become one of famous tourism spots in Taoyuan County and Jungli City. Here daily average stream of people is over thousands, approximately 580 legal stallholders have been established and nearly a hundred shops were attracted for establishment, which brought in stream of people, tons of money, more over, a wonderful spot for night time leisure for Jungli citizens.

 

The current management organization for Jungli City Tourism Night Market is Jungli City Tourism Night Market Board of Management. There are 25 directors and supervisors who are responsible for all management affairs of the Night Market. In view of progressive technology development in the society, it is intended to advance the image and awareness of the Night Market to increase income. However, since source of funds is the yearly membership fees from stallholders that is rather insufficient.
